Is it wise to spend on SS or Gold?

this isn't case of affordability, wisdom.
not watch person - has taken lot convince me wear on wrist again after many years.
absolutely love stainless steel models, pricey. not unaffordable pricey, pricey none less.
feel though have settle on sports model because wise @ invest in first generation apple product. know how goes, replaced , replaced fast. disappoints me apple have said nothing whether pricey bands remain compatable future models. if happy spend on link bracket example.

iPhone shuts down randomly, rst vdd_under
