iPad mini 1st gen - iBooks problem

i'm sorry if has been covered, have problem 1st gen ipad mini when adjusting brightness in ibooks. set lowest brightness read @ night approximately 5th of screen doesn't adjust , remains bright. ideas may causing or if there's fix? it's not life threatening, annoying!
 

sounds screen problem me. happen regular use or ibooks?

iPhone shuts down randomly, rst vdd_under
