How do i see my route on exercises?

i assumed workout app show route on apple map screen. not case?
 

the native workout app works when iphone not connected, in case watch not have access iphone's gps may why apple not provide mapping feature. watch not have own gps needs phone gps tracking. many 3rd-party exercise apps watch provide map, nike+.

iPhone shuts down randomly, rst vdd_under
