CDs eject after 10 seconds but DVDs play fine

hi, mbp 15" unibody 2010 laptop of sudden doesnt accept cds, ejects them after 10 seconds of been inserted.
dvds play fine. may problem?

thing can think of thats changed running laptop without battery, (untill receive replacement) old battery swelled , pushed trackpad out! works fine however.

iPhone shuts down randomly, rst vdd_under
