Random Apple ID password prompts

anyone these time time? wake ipad or iphone , asked password @ home screen. of time need use device , don't have time nonsense hit cancel. few times i've entered password, seems make stop doing while, inevitably asks again @ point.

nice if ios tell why it's asking password. people aren't familiar ios security model might rightfully assume it's app trying steal apple id password!
 

are using capital letters in icloud username/email when set on device?

iPhone shuts down randomly, rst vdd_under
