How do you shoot mirrorless with strobes?

here's problem mirrorless fans. lot of work under high powered strobes product, fashion , car photography. although shoot mf or dslr, bought mirrorless camera last year play around with. lot of time lack of viewfinder doesn't bother me 1 issue has got me stumped.

when shooting small aperture in darkish studio electronic viewfinder black. in way hope aim cut out ambient light means impossible focus without adjusting aperture first. seems major problem strobe shooting or there simple work-around don't know about? surely problem shooting mirrorless strobes going come against.
 

isn't modeling lights for?

iPhone shuts down randomly, rst vdd_under
