How to setup PM G5 as a server?

hello all!

have 2.0 dp 2004 powermac g5, use file server. live @ 2 houses (curse parental divorce), being able access server either house god send photography work. have read on how articles find vague aspects of setup. can me out? thanks!
 

what aspect unclear on? seems pretty strait forward me, enable file sharing in system preferences > sharing, forward afp port (548) of machine's ip address on router, , once @ other house connect internet ip in finder (go > connect server) , enter login credentials.

iPhone shuts down randomly, rst vdd_under
