How to compare MBP retina display to other laptop brands

i'm thinking buying retina macbook pro considering windows laptops since i've been long-time windows user. i've found few laptops similar specs rmbp @ same price main difference other os seems display. how compare displays between different brands since can't put them side side? resolution makes retina screen special or there else should @ compare each one?

example, dell xps 13 has qhd+ display 3200 x 1800 resolution, 276 ppi , intel hd 5500 graphics card. lenovo x1 carbon has qhd 2560 x 1440 resolution, 209 ppi, intel hd 5500. mbp has 2560 x 1600 resolution, 227 ppi, intel iris 6100. based on numbers alone, seems dell best screen , lenovo isn't far behind macbook. wrong?

edit: please everyone, don't make battle of windows os vs. osx unless relates questions (i.e. didn't know windows has trouble scaling high dpi). know apple fan forum i'm trying find compelling reason switch mac besides os, trackpad, etc. screen isn't deciding factor way differentiate between other similar specs (all have i5 processor, 8 gb ram, 256 gb ssd).

the dell isn't best because:

1. it's dell
2. doesn't run os x.
3. has far weaker gpu driving higher resolution.
4. no 1 else has trackpad rivals of mac's.
