imac G4 beeps 3 times upon startup, stays on black screen

i got imac g4 , 1.25ghz & 1 gb of ram,

upon installing mac os 10.5 completed when system crashed , had no choice shut off holding power switch.

when turn on beeps 3 times (while screen blank) , nothing.

im not sure if bad ram or if need more ram? should differently before installing new os ?
 

check ram..
