My iPod touch suddenly glitches and turns off

i got ipod touch few months ago , have dropped couple of times, there has been no appearant damage until day before yesterday when stopped opening apps besides ones origanally came on ipod, turned on , off couple of times, reset it, nothing happened. kept listening music on it, however, until turned off, charged , plugged in, still turn on every once in while these vertical lines , turn off. today got on wifi , did software update, thinking help, , can open apps still turns off (less frequent) , has trouble holding onto wifi signal, time wrong. battery little variable before started breaking down.
know can do?
 

since it's few months old, should under warranty. take local apple store. wouldn't mention had been dropped :d.
