13" rMBP scaled resolutions

i'm on mid 2010 mbp, looking upgrade. having trouble deciding between mba , 13 rmbp.

making me consider rmbp on air fact can have higher resolution, curious if using scaled resolution impacts performance noticeable degree.

run decently power thirsty apps, if can have 1680x1050 while doing this, main benefit of rmbp becomes moot.

curious people's experiences have been. there noticeable performance drop whilst in scaled resolution mode?
 

i can't see new 13" struggle long don't go on 1680*1050. still have wait 2 more weeks receive new rmbp 13" able tell sure though. of course in games that's else, in desktop apps should fine.

i'm planning run mine @ 1680*1050 @ least
