"enter a new sim" - new phone

upgraded o2 in uk. gave me new sim , had unlock it, going online entering number on of new sim etc. i've done on new iphone says "enter valid sim"

on o2 site says you'll know once it's transferred once old sim stops working.
has new sim doesn't work i'm being asked enter sim..

ideas?
 

it fault sim, fault phone.

iphones refuse recognise new sims insert. try hard-rebooting phone (hold home button along power button until turns off, keep holding until starts boot again). once sim inside phone, , if doesn't work, again while leaving sim card out.

failing that, you'll want see if different handset can recognise card, or if handset can recognise different card.
