Garmin Vivoactive - with GPS - alternative for runners?

i looking apple watch, concerned lack of gps while running / jogging (without iphone). saw garmin vivoactive. looks interesting (comes out in april too). 3 weeks (w/o gps active) battery time, , smart watch notifications. it's $100 less. i'm still using garmin 205 - having calculator on wrist (although works great). curious else thought of it? it's tempting alternative, wondering if i'll wish got apple watch , use old garmin on runs?

i still think other smart watch threads off topic.....but...

vivoactive $300 w/hrm, $50 less , little ugly me. lower choice me. have 620 , true runners watch. if buying might fenix 3 since has limited smart watch features , still running watch.
