hi guys!

i'm going college year , i'm going take multimedia arts. need new laptop/desktop able handle programs after effects, adobe premiere, flash, , photoshop.i intend learn 3d modeling , animation autodesk maya , cinema 4d.

anyways, here options:

turbo boost 3.6ghz
8gb (two 4gb) memory
1tb hard drive
nvidia geforce gt 750m 1gb video memory

macbook pro
15-inch: 2.2ghz retina display
2.2ghz quad-core intel core i7
turbo boost 3.4ghz
16gb 1600mhz memory
256gb pcie-based flash storage
intel iris pro graphics

i'm on budget maybe can save enough money other 15" macbook pro (the 1 has dedicated graphics card).

portability not issue (for now, think). want know is, 1 more powerful, faster, , last longer? need 1 last 4 6 years (or maybe more) without affecting performance.

i'm considering refurbished mac mom thinks it's hassle since refurbished items/part in apple site not available in country (unless if talk aunt lives in usa). oh , know pricing in country different. macs more pricey here so...

please me. of guys went through "imac or macbook pro" dilemma? share opinions~
