people expect new desktop/laptop computer last them 5-8 years before need upgrade (assuming hardware doesn't fail).

expectation tablet 3-5 years or longer depending use for. (i still have ipad 2)

consumers (at least in us) new smartphone every 2 years contracts expire.

else curious direction apple take apple watch? expecting consumers spend $400+ every year or 2 years "new" apple watch or hold "new" features , make upgrade cycle longer.

can understand buying omega watch $3250.00 , handing down children in 30 years gold edition apple watch going $5000.00 paper weight in few years?

if apple going push aggressive upgrade cycle apple watch i'll buying nothing sport edition every 2-3 years.

thoughts?
 

apple expects people replace computers every 5-8 years, still update them once year, year , half.

doesn't matter how people replace smartwatches, expect apple update them every year.
