Good enough for Xcode?

hi everyone, have old 2010 macbook pro upgrade because gotten slow. use make websites, xcode/android studio , usual procrastination, stopped using illustrator , such programs because takes forever. new macbook looks appealing, considering retina macbook pro carrying current macbook in backpack around town is.. not comfortable, thing concers me if enough debugging , if need buy new usb c cable iphone. i'd know other fellow developers think new macbook

i think simple coding, fine, if plan on using illustrator, may disappointed in performance.
