buying advice

hi all,

i'll entering senior year of high school next year, , i'd buy myself laptop last me through college.

i've used macs in past , loved them, i've never owned 1 myself.

should buy mba 13" or rmbp 13"?
if go mba route, worth buying 2015 model? or 2014 fine?

, also, i've read lot of comments saying upgrading 8gb ram must mba? true? ask because can't find 2014 model 8gb

amazon still has 2014 models discounted $200, i'm leaning towards ... don't know ram
