iMac 5K Spec advise (HDD particularly)

hello,

i'd grateful benefit of people's experience. buy imac 5k , have couple of questions:

1. storage - need >1tb. i'm attracted 3tb fusion it's built in , includes ssd os. best, or 256gb ssd better external storage? if latter, what's fastest (affordable) external option?

2. processor upgrade worth it?

3. looking @ 16gb ram , doing photo editing in cs6 - option?

2 cents: if have budget issue, take fusion drive: compromise , me better solution small ssd cheap external storage (loud , slow...).
if can afford fast external storage, go ssd. :)

it depends on needs: i7 helpfull video encoding or scientific calculations example. not usefull image processing or gaming... :)


16gb of ram excellent choice, don't buy apple ram: less price of 16gb apple option, can have 8gb apple ram + 16gb third party ram (crucial example). :)
