Screen dim longer?

unfortunately don't think possible, wanted throw out there double check: know how when phone fall asleep (auto-lock), screen dims? dim lasts few seconds. it'd better on battery life , preference if have screen dim after minute or two, , stay dim next 3 mins (if setup lock after 5 mins, example). don't need bright whole wake time, can still see notifications when it's dim. know of way this?
