Soundflower and OBS safe to use

i figure obs safe, wasn't on list of developers had change install anywhere it.

soundflower no longer supported , had use install anywhere again.

wondering if people knew if 2 safe, if not there alternative. think sound flower opens kext or something?? don't know, tech savvy person sees , knows.
