hello,

own 2009 mac pro (8 cores) , i'm required studies moving 1 country next incredibly hard take me. find myself not using 3 of 4 hard drive bays , going have change default gpu more powerful.

possible take out components , put them in case? extremely big , heavy.
 

any data drive works in mac pro (2006-2012) can installed in other mac pro (2006-2012) without problem .

same true of mac pro os x boot drive , provided minimum system requirements met . although bad idea (or impossible) use drive os x in mac predates it's initial factory os x version .

if intend tear down mac pro , ship parts separately , bad idea . great of chance damaged .
