Transferring into iPhoto

i have 400 photos organized folders in pictures on pc. can transfer them iphoto , keep them in folders (albums)?

have them on jump drive now.
 

take 1 of folders , drag iphoto see if results want. if so, repeat. if not, let know outcome vs. desire.
