Base 15" rMBP --> Issue with HDMI Port waking from Sleep with Monitor

have latest version of rmbp, base model.

monitor1 hooked vi display port, no issues.

bought 2nd monitor today @ costco (samsung s27d360).

connects hdmi or vga, did straight dhmi cable.

monitor works except after mbp sleeps. on waking up, cannot signal.

tips ?
