Boot Camp, Virtualization, Neither?

any special reason choose boot camp on virtualization new iteration of macbook? seems core m should work windows 8.1, haven't gone totally mac in while (see sig) , i've pulled trigger on new 1.2/512 i've got bit of separation anxiety related of more specialized software.
 

i chose using virtual machine because need windows handful of things , way don't need reboot machine it. also, ability share files between win , mac sides without special software (besides vm software, of course). , flexible storage usage nice, on mba doesn't have ton of internal storage.
