Decisions, decisions... your opinion please?

i need 2 laptops... 1 database development while tethered external display , 1 travel (size, weight, , battery life matter here).

1 other thing keep in mind take both when travel. more powerful might needed in hotel @ night.

i'm thinking following might best combination.

powerful 1 easy... rmbp 13 or 15

2nd 1 not easy.

has run couple of important applications:

vmware (for windows use)
filemaker
xojo (database development tool)

recent introduction of mb 12" sort of clouds issue. before thinking mba 13" best option. perhaps still is? then, don't want invest $ 1500 or more in obsolete computer.

first option of 13 or 15" needs consideration because need take on road too. know 15" more powerful quad core cpu, make difference? should wait wwdc rumors of refresh 15"?

what's thoughts?
 

i'd say, rmbp 15" both roles. 4.5 lbs still pretty light travel.
