I need help to understand the battery

i information regarding how iphone battery works can better understand iphone 6.

device:
on iphone 6, 64 gb model in space grey, purchased new verizon on january 14 of year.

iphone management habits:
* never manually close apps unless app misbehaving
* once per month allow iphone battery run down until phone powers off. charge 100% before using again.
* main app background refresh on toggled off individual apps
* screen timeout set 2 minutes
* screen brightness set half auto-brightness toggled on

fact average 2 days between charges moderate use tells me these habits beneficial. have followed these habits on iphones since 2012 , have enjoyed long battery life on iphones.

symptom:
when charge phone 100% , begin using it, phone stays on 100% short time. however, can see included screenshot, when charge phone 100% , leave on charger couple hours after 100% mark has been reached, phone stays on 100% more 6 hours.

query:
happening, when leave phone on charger couple hours after 100% mark has been reached, causes apparent extended battery life? shortening overall lifespan of battery leaving on charger hours after 100% mark.

can understands these batteries give insight?

when charge reaches 100% changes trickle charge prevent overcharging. not degrade battery leave on charger long after reaches 100%. imho better battery terminate charge @ 100% make small difference if any.
