Safari memory?

ok mac 6 years old, core 2 duo, 8gb ram (i upgraded) , standard 160gb hdd (i had ordered ssd while , sorted, returned due having unforeseen bills pay, , never re-ordered 1 after that).

know multiple tabs eats @ memory wondering if normal memory usage safari, me seems quite bit, , no programmes running 6gb/8gb of ram being used

fans run 24/7, on no matter i'm doing, if i'm using few tabs of safari fan on , laptop hot touch. ive accepted because machine old , possibly because don't have ssd. (i clean inside of mac every few months now, dust build crazy).

problem safari, or mac? can remember doing i've cleared cache's, run disk repair, extension use adblock

my 2013 macbook air responds safari when have multiple tabs open, don't know it's age of computer. times use of 8 gb of ram, don't notice hangups because of it. seems manage memory well. having issues computer hanging or locking because of ram usage?
