Can someone please explain the "battery life" complaints?

i've never worn watch. born in mid 80s, , time hit high school, had phone on me tell time. until (hopefully friday) watch has been phone, , must charge watch nightly.

keep seeing people complain battery life on watch.
they're upset because think battery life terrible because doesn't last more day.

mean of course extended battery life awesome, but.
practically speaking, why want/need battery life longer day?
advantage be?

don't it...
 

i don't take watch off...would nice if had once week. wear watch 24/7, not 18/7.
