Any Tempo Calendar users?

i use , love tempo calendar on iphone , have apple watch app i've installed on watch. however, app seems stuck in "fetching events" ad infinitum; it's been "fetching events" on hour now.

else use app , having similar problems (or have solution)?
 

it gets worse, app has been bought company , ceased on june 30th. it's real shame head , shoulders above other calendars. moved when mynd shut down last year.
