Powerbook 520 odd behaviour

i acquired powerbook 520. has 160mb hdd , onboard 4mb of ram. managed find power supply , booted fine. got flashing folder wasn't sure whether hd dead, wiped clean or otherwise corrupted.

while went looking sys 7 floppy check, pb switched off. couldn't start again. stripped machne , checked damage or loose connections. seemed fine still wouldn't boot or chime.

fast forward week , put away bad job , gave 1 more try. booted , time hd started up. had installation of sys 7.1, word, wordperfect , couple more applications. after 5 more minutes switched off again , not restart. no chime or chimes of death. nada.

not sure how troubleshoot one. clearly, logic board , psu relatively ok pb never have booted otherwise. heatsink on cpu daughterboard seems fitting correctly, don't think unit overheating. dunno.
 

is power supply found 1 fits/plugs in or right power adapter 520?

maybe voltage/amperage under or on needs.
also, how 520 keep system time, there pram battery needs replaced or in main battery?
