okay question running netgear thats 10 years old,,still works goes on , off drops signal , gets hot. want 1 thats easy set up..really easy. use iphone ipad have imac have hardwired in. looking @ apple extreme..it said easy. remember years ago real pain set , lock password. seen apple express..which half price of extreme. difference between them? need , info appreciated. not apple has sales need 1 soon.
 

an airport express far less capable router.

i'd suggest check smallnetbuilder.com. have great info on routers work best. airport extreme ok, still uses proprietary software configure it, unlike other routers. doesn't allow external antennas, , isn't fast more recent ac1750+ routers.
