Finder crashes, doesn't reopen, reboot hangs

i've got 2 machines on 10.10.2+ (signature). on rmbp seems though after waking sleep won't load imac share - blank screen - hangs finder after few minutes. try relaunching finder , no longer works, upon trying reboot machine hangs nothing shown pointer , wallpaper. going on thing? between multiple issues think i'm going return it.
