Gray screen HELP!!

as of right now, wont have exact details hope can provide information of before hand.

so, while back, upgraded girlfriends macbook pro, believe 2013.
samsung 840 pro ssd. think pro.. pretty certain.
samsung.

of recently, did recent update , wont load properly.

first load extremely slow load bar
, loads grey screen. nothing else.

not familiar mac or apple. dont recall how ive installed of things.

computer works great, till updated.


issue caused third party ssd?
have trim?
can far out of gray screen?
dont believe ive ever enabled trim?
how check?
update issue?


have been trying read on trim , dont understand in terms of grey screens or if have relations.

came across enabling or disabling trim.. causes security issues?

lost , hope can ellaborate..

provide more information when go check out laptop

 

if added 840 pro, latest mid-2012 non-retina mbp.

enabling trim cause security hole opened disables kext signing. trim disabled default on non-apple oem ssds. if have not enabled trim on before, trim isn't reason.

if it's 15"/17" model 2011, radeongate have hit it.

have tried doing pram , smc reset?
