MBP 2011 graphics card warranty question

i have late 2011 17" mbp graphic card died. i've had happen 3 times macs. striped screen @ startup glitchy colored apple logo, screen goes blue. know graphics cards still under recall warranty, looked up.

i've made genius bar appt tomorrow, wondering: replace card or give me new laptop?

have happen them lately? in advance.
 

in cases, replace logic board , give machine back. 1 member on here did report having mbp replaced refurbished model under programme, though. i'm sure he'll chime in experiences.
