need to change or delete logon password

hi everybody, neighbor passed away , wife knows mess around computers asked me if pictures off of computer. wants of them printed give family members. knew mac guy didn't think problem though use pc. computer emac os x. upon booting greeted logon screen requiring password. know how on pc never had experience mac. wife knows nothing password , couldn't find in papers @ desk. there no disks. googled answers. found 4 methods resetting or bypassing logon password none of them worked. tried again , again no avail. after tying in command lines , rebooting comes logon window. said have computer if can pics her. nice learn mac. thoughts might try? bunch, collieman

while waiting replies tried of answers found on google again , time worked! but, i'm not seeing pictures neighbor wants me off computer. looks reset had complete registration form. also, not set time , date. so, guys stay close. still might need you.
