anyone else have wifi calling issues?

phone: iphone 6+, 16gb, gold, bought midnight day 1, bought locked at&t paid off , carrier unlocked without problem. ios 8.1.3.
network: apple airport extreme 802.11ac, bought month ago. date firmware.

i'm on tmobile family plan, 2 lines unlimited "simple choice". going swimmingly except wifi calling...
got home, factory reset phone start clean. updated carrier settings 18.1. enabled "allow wifi calling" , updated e911 settings without issue. saw "t-mobile wifi" @ top of screen, indicates can make calls on wifi. however, putting phone sleep more couple minutes seems lose "wifi" tag , no longer able make wifi calls. resetting phone regan wifi tag, putting phone sleep couple of minutes lose wifi calling feature.

i've taken issue t-mobile , ended sending me t-mobile "cellspot" router, rebranded asus 802.11ac router. didn't help. called t-mobile again , said "it's apple problem, you'll have wait until fix update".

so, here have same issue i'm having wifi calling?

i think has how iphone loses wi-fi connection while it's asleep. doubt apple change since that's how it's been iphone.
