Create dynamic PDF

i'm having heck of time figuring out how create dynamic pdf - don't know why can't seem wrap head around logic put , keep getting caught in variation of loop.

have nsarray varies in length it's generated user created content. content consists of strings , images (well nsdata that's used create uiimages).

first page of pdf has dynamic header, there's static placement of things name , address data dynamically generated well. i've created 2 uiviews in xib (another concept i'm not famaliar i'm new all) , have created 2 classes subclass of uiview each uiview in xib. on first view have uiview in it's hierarchy take dynamic content array.

thought iterate through array , keep track of height of every object, plus vertical offset each object, minus height of dynamic content view of first pdf page, divide what's left height of pdf page, add 1 (for first page) , give me number of pages i'll need.

2 things strike @ me first, do if string longer pdf page?

whats' best way iterate, using integer index, keeping track of objects still need added?

onto pdf creation itself, think visually seeing in uiview great draw text in using real typography , not scaled bitmap of uiview, reading on apple's docs on has got head spinning well. have feeling i'm bit brain frazzled @ point or pointing in right direction greatly appreciated.
