Continuous low battery alert?

ok, wife has new ipad. it's cool, lets battery low, , goes 'beeping' frenzy. beeps, , beeps, , beeps, until battery gets above level (20% ?). there way modify behavior? can't seem find in ios controls, , found posts on web seem indicate not changeable.

have solution?
 

perhaps it's app that's doing it? ios 1 alert each time crosses boundary (like 1 when reaches 20% , 1 when reaches 10%, example), , that's it.
