CCC & DiskWarrior not working

hello all,

in preparation upgrade 10.5, ran permission repair , verify disk. never had been done, ever. 10.4.11 ppc mini.

wanted run diskwarrior. first thought clone drive external firewire drive.

carbon copy cloner got 1/4 stopped. tried again (default parameters) , let sit 5-7 min. upon return still stuck @ 1/4 progress. had force quit.

booted fw external run dw 4.2 (10.5.7). got part way through hung up.

decided call quits day. have since found diskwarrior 3 ppc there still ccc issue.

comments appreciated.
