Change my late 2013 Air for a late 2012 pro?

hi everyone!

it's been 2 years since i've bought macbook air 13" late 2013 (i5 haswell, hd5000 , 4gb of ram) , love it, battery life still outstanding , runs pretty smooth.
use macbook illustrator, photoshop, lightroom , light editing premire plus basic stuff in ae...sometimes have work on desktop pc beacuse air not powerful enough.
have opportunity change air late 2012 pro 13" retina (i5, hd 4000 , 8gb of ram), don't have add money don't know do.
pro has retina display nice , graphic stuff come handy it's late 2012 model it's ivy bridge, no long battery life , hd4000 instead of iris/hd5000...still, has 8gb of ram (i regret not having bought air 8gb)

me decide...i don't know do, i'm afraid pro slower air due large amount of pixels , old gpu

i'd try , hold out, scrape money , buy 2014 rmbp refurb apple / new 3rd parties e.g. best buy if they're still in stock.

memory nice, cpu , gpu won't faster. if use docked might want older cheap mac pro example, if use mobile laptop lot on go 2012 rmbp's battery suck compared air (the 2013 started have excellent battery). when it's year older battery.

wouldn't it... can see how it's not crazy idea that's worth considering.

try check out memory pressure when you're doing work, if it's maxing out time it's worth going 8gb. then, buying 2014 air 2nd hand 8gb better value 2012 rmbp.

how's budget? can afford 2014 rmbp if sell air? or 2015? 9-10h battery nice, , they're zippy machines.
