Cross-platform links in Excel

i have several spreadsheets used track finances. 1 of these daily tracker , each month have separate expenses spreadsheet.

maintain link in daily tracker cell in expenses spreadsheet (which change each month, manually).

maintain spreadsheets on windows , when try open daily tracker on mac links don't work.

folder structure , relative locations of expenses spreadsheet same on both platforms mac not have driver letters.

there way specify link works across 2 platforms?
 

i don't think so, file systems different.
