before start telling me unlocked yes aware according verizon agreement fcc on lte band 13 = 700mhz. there issue domestic policy gets assigned models, why -- dont know
these units not work on international sim's / work fine sim card's.
incorrect policy: next tether policy details: us gsm/vzw n61/n56 service policy = domestic unlock / international lock
correct policy: next tether policy details: us verizon lte mm n61/n56/n51/n48/n42 = factory unlocked + worldwide usage. know n51/n48/n42 = 5s / 5c / 5 respectively.
apparently issue verizon / apple server's syncing but think more , far issue starting gain momentum
yes know legally verizon cannot lock phone / tablet has access band 13 lte.
proof issue exists:
1) http://youtu.be/ybczpkckeys
2) here thread on apple forums not helpful: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6763925?start=15&tstart=0
two ways test see if affected:
1) buy gsx imei report (ebay or website - $1) = if see correct policy mentioned above = device factory unlocked
or
2) insert international sim verizon iphone 6 / 6 plus , see if invalid sim error. (sim doesnt have active, if affected device display invalid sim error inactive sim) = if no issue = correct policy, if issue = incorrect policy
before travel or resell verizon iphone sure test or 2nd hand owner not end "defective" device.
have called apple question after found selling iphone 6 on craigslist issue -- did not provide acceptable answer other offer trouble shoot on phone -- did not buy device craigslist seller because know issue exists , because device had invalid sim error upon inserting international sim, wasn't worth money.
apple support tell locked verizon , top tier senior advisors tell verizon iphones factory unlocked gsm networks (this apply correct policy assigned devices only)
please not waste thread telling things know, lets keep technical , determine how many users affected instead.
probably temporary glitch, otherwise violating agreement fcc , in trouble.
