Automator Won't Append Text Anymore

hi,

use vnc remotely access home computer. have dynamic ip changes time time. several years ago set mailbox rule , automator workflow this. basically, when home computer receives email subject ip? runs apple script launches following workflow:

1. launch application (launches chrome)
2. specified urls (opens http://www.iplocation.net/find-ip-address)
3. text webpage (pulls text site, including current ip address)
4. copy clipboard (copies text clipboard)
5. contents of clipboard)
6. new mail message (text gets appended mail message)
7. send outgoing messages (sends email)

worked great awhile, , stopped needing it. now, few years later, have tried again, , while works, won't append text mail message anymore - blank email. when run workflow, can see grab , copy text. ideas?

fyi, it's 2006 c2d imac 6,1 running 10.7.5
