Reprogramming function button shortcuts

hi all,

i'm looking @ buying keyboard (logitech's k811 easy switching keyboard). it's looks great, in order make room of it's bluetooth functionality, removed next , previous function keys music. somehow possible re-map function keys other short-key? i'm thinking [fn] + [left/right arrow]. know how remap short keys in system preferences, don't know how make global, function buttons, don't have in itunes work.

thoughts appreciated.
