View OS X Scheduled Tasks - How to?

at around 2:45am every day, sort of scheduled task running on system. whatever task is, either reading from, or writing hard drive, , several minutes, system becomes sluggish, slow response clicking on anything, , beachballs. once task ends, system returns normal.

how can find out tasks scheduled run @ different times, on os x yosemite? i've tried googling answer this, brings things automator, or other apps can schedule tasks using launchd, etc, rather listing existing scheduled system tasks. not helping.

appreciated.

open console app /applications/utilities , @ log time , see says.
