Can I use my old iPhone 4 for Virgin Mobile If the sprint contract hasn't been paid?

it has been year since has been sent collections... if put virgin mobile sim card work if number has been sent collections ? since bill weren't paid , there year left in contract happen ? possible use virgin mobile ?

i doubt it. think actual phone gets blacklisted, not phone number.
