when went start mac mini, greeted os utilites option reinstall osx, use disk utility or restore time machine backup.

opened disk utility , had verify , repair disk, , said volume ok.

took option of reinstalling osx.

why did this? 256 gb mushkin ssd drive, , had 89gb space available, have noticed has been bit slower start when first got in 2012.

mac mini mid 2011, running osx 10.8.5.
