Mac Pro: Multi-display setup Mac only detecting one display at a time.

i have mac pro setup running 4 dvi displays using thunderbolt dvi adapters. decided replace dvi displays , upgrade 4 1080p lcd tvs using thunderbolt hdmi adapters. setup, mac pro recognize 1 display @ time , i'm not sure why. if try plugging 1 display directly hdmi port , thunderbolt port, detect 1 inserted hdmi port.
