Help navigating ports in terminal (aircrack-ng)

i'm in process of cracking my own wep encrypted wireless network utilizing 2015 macbook pro operating on yosemite aircrack-ng installed.

have been following a, slightly, dated tutorial , has been going point of:

/usr/local/cellar/aircrack-ng/1.1/bin/aircrack-ng -a 1 -b be:ee:f0:49:94:89 /tmp/*.cap

upon type in, corresponding .cap file, , nothing happens. hangs in terminal. suspect issue /aircrack-ng/1.1/, not have version 1.1 installed on ports. have version 1.2 rc-1. problem don't know how navigate in terminal /usr/local/cellar/aircrack-ng/ see need type in make command run.

question pretty simple, how navigate in terminal open folder see contents? in word, how folder in order 'ls -l'?

cd /usr/local/cellar/aircrack-ng/ did not work.

you can cd /usr/

ls list directories. cd name of 1 want
