microsoft on tuesday announced surface 3 tablet windows 8.1, available in may starting price of $499. latest ipad competitor designed complete laptop replacement, running full windows, including desktop applications, , delivering all-day battery life. surface 3 includes quad-core 1.6ghz intel atom processor, significant shift arm processors used in previous models.

surface 3 comes 64gb storage , 2gb of ram $499, while 128gb option 4gb of ram costs $599. both wi-fi , 4g lte models available. tablet features 10.8" full hd display @ 1,920×1,280 pixels resolution, full-size usb 3.0 port, mini displayport, microsd card reader, headphone jack, cover port, micro usb charging port, bluetooth 4.0 , three-position kickstand. tablet receive free upgrade windows 10 when available , includes one-year office 365 subscription.
